Item no 300 A large rectangular cast-iron watering trough with an iron tethering ring at each end, now supported on four cast-iron lion's paw feet.Cast-iron water troughs superceded stone troughs on alot of farms in the 19th century and a trough like this would have supplied water for an entire farmyard. It now makes an unusual and versatile planter and is, for example, particularily well suited to barn conversions. 19th century 96" x 19" x 18" high overall. SOLD
