Two good limestone staddle stones

Item no 726

Two good limestone staddle stones with well-weathered round tops on square bases. The larger of the two stones has an old bench mark at the top of the base suggesting that it was originally a fixed local landmark.

18th/19th century

24" x 30" high and 21" x 27" high.
