An antique carved stone Griffin on plinth
Item no 438

An antique carved limestone winged Griffin on a circular stone plinth, the mythological creature depicted sitting upright and possibly originally holding a standard. The Griffin is weathered with losses but is still an intriguing feature. The plinth was originally a stone roller.

late 18th Century/early 19th century
