A good quality bronze figure of the Spinario, after the antique from the first century B.C, on a black marble base. The naked boy is sitting on a rock extracting a thorn from his left foot and is a full-scale copy of the original which is now in the Capitoline Museum, Rome. There is a semi-legible inscription on the back of the rock including the signature Frederico Livio.

Figure 30" high. Base 23.5" x 14" x 23.5" high.
