A life-size Italian limestone season figure depicting a girl in traditional dress holding a basket of flowers which is symbolic of Spring. This is one of a series of four season figures and is very attractively weathered after many years in a garden in Somerset. The figure is typical of the carved limestone statuary produced around the North Italian city of Vicenza.
