| Item no 837
A well-weathered, composition-stone figure of a sitting boar on an associated rectangular stone base. This is a scaled-down version of the Calydonian boar, which was a massive and fearsome creature in the mythology of ancient Greece, and it makes an interesting, but not overpowering, feature for a modern garden. The base was originally part of an old Herefordshire cheese press and is a good shape and size to act as a plinth for this figure.
Mid 20th century [boar]
35' x 23' x 46' high overall (Boar 31" high)
