A large antique lead planter.

Item no 323

A large and finely cast circular lead planter, with a foliate rim and four panels depicting dragons heads within scrolling foliage. Unusually, this does not appear to have ever been a water cistern and it may have been a specially commissioned 19th century garden planter. It is photographed on a circular sandstone base.
