Item no 786 A good pair of Victorian cast-iron Borghese urns on associated sandstone plinths. These good sized urns are after the antique and are in sound condition although covered with thick layers of old paint. The old paint could be removed to reveal the detail underneath but in our experience the urns will then look new so we have opted to leave them as they are for the time being. They were probably cast by the Handyside Foundry in Derby who specialised in urns and vases.
