We are very keen on old reclaimed gates. They were usually handmade by skilled blacksmiths and of such good quality that they continue to perform their function for future generations, despite being old already. Antique gates are a great way to give a property unmistakeable individuality.

The latch is unusual for still retaining the iron dropper which prevents the gate being unintentionally opened, for example by livestock. NB.
