Planters - SOLD 

Our interpretation of garden planters is wide-ranging and covers anything interesting that could have a plant in it, from old cast iron farm troughs to weathered composition stone pots and lovely Arts and Crafts terracotta pots to recycled galvanised tanks. All have an element of scarcity, even if it is only because they have developed a weathered patination from being outside for a number of years.

    An old cast-iron farm trough, with two dividing bars and shaped iron feet. It is higher at the back so goes well against a wall and also has drainage holes drilled through the base so will make an excellent garden planter.19th century

    An old galvanised farm storage bin with a hinged lid which could be used as a planter against a wall with the lid up. Although there is a tap at one end this bin no longer holds water but it does have an attractive weathered patination and good studded details.  Early 20th century.  34" x 21" x 21" high.

    An interesting salvaged cast iron planter which was originally some sort of machine stand. The rectangular recess is now drilled for drainage and it could make a very effective feature with imaginative planting.
