Our interpretation of garden planters is wide-ranging and covers anything interesting that could have a plant in it, from old cast iron farm troughs to weathered composition stone pots and lovely Arts and Crafts terracotta pots to recycled galvanised tanks. All have an element of scarcity, even if it is only because they have developed a weathered patination from being outside for a number of years.

    A pair of large vintage galvanised planters formed as tall square boxes each with two carrying handles and detachable lids. They make a great pair of containers which could be planted with anything from flowers to medium sized shrubs such as bay or box.     A vintage cast iron cauldron of typical pot bellied design on tripod feet with twin handles attached to the rim. From a private Derbyshire garden this is an unusually large cauldron and makes a splendid planter for flowers. There is a drainage hole drilled through the base. 19th century.
