A weathered composition stone garden statue of two boys squabbling in a forceful manner. This statue is sometimes called 'Discord' and is a companion to another statue called 'Harmony' where the boys are affectionate to each other. 20th Century.
A vintage garden statue of a young girl sitting on a rocky outcrop looking down. Stamped 'Doulton' underneath this is one of a small range of terracotta garden figures produced by the company early in the 20th century. It is a well modelled figure and would look charming in the right location, perhaps looking into water. Early 20th century.
A weathered composition stone garden statue depicting two putti kissing. This is a larger and better detailed version of this statue group than is generally available and probably dates from the early 20th century. N.B. There are two similar statues in stock so they could be used as a pair but are priced individually, i.e. £395 per statue group. 20th...
A carved granite Japanese lantern in five parts, the lantern section under a shaped roof. This is a good quality ornament which has some lichen already established, especially on the exposed surfaces. They are sometimes called snow viewing lanterns and can be illuminated from within by a tea light or candle. 20th century.
A pair of oriental figures carved from a light volcanic stone and depicting demon like characters. They are well weathered after many years in a West Herefordshire garden but presumably originated from South East Asia. 20th century Priced as a pair
A vintage Lefcoware birdbath formed as a putto standing on a square plinth holding up a scallop shaped bowl. This birdbath was one of the most successful designs produced by the Leeds Fireclay Company and this is a particularly good example with crisp detail and very little damage apart from a chip within the bowl.Late 19th/early 20th Century
A vintage lead garden statue of a girl in period dress holding a horn in her right hand and her left hand cupped to her ear, now raised on an old sandstone cheese press stone. This figure is more usually seen in composition stone, often with poor detail, and is sometimes called 'Morning Calls'. Despite being a little battered, for example around the knee...
A rare antique lead wall mask modelled as Pan with curved horns, goatlike ears and an unkept beard. The mask has it's original wall attachment projecting from the back, including a pipe to the mouth, so it could be re-used as a wall fountain. The overall condition and quality of the modelling is very good and it was probably made by the Bromsgrove Guild...
An antique composition stone figure of a boy holding a bird on an associated stone base. This figure is typical of the ornaments produced in the second half of the nineteenth century and has plenty of charm with attractive weathering. 19th century.
An antique stone sundial, the bronze plate mounted on a rough hewn red sandstone baluster column. This sundial was apparently uncovered many years ago in a completely overgrown garden in Hallow, North Worcestershire. Condition note; there is an obvious crack through the column which has been properly repaired using stainless steel pins. 19th or early 20th...
An antique lead garden figure of a boy fishing by a rocky outcrop wearing period clothes including a broad rimmed straw hat. Based on a 19th century original this is an attractive subject for a location next to water. The statue is exceptionally well cast with good detail and an attractive weathered patination.
