An old Cotswold stone trough, rectangular in shape with rounded corners and a vertical crack in one corner which doesn't threaten its structural stability. This trough has a particularly attractive colour and surface patination. 18th century or earlier.
An old stone pump trough of typical form with a rounded front and drainage through the base. This type of trough usually stood under the spout of an old well pump and sometimes were raised on two brick piers which is a good way of increasing their impact as a garden planter. 19th century.
An old sandstone trough from Herefordshire, rectangular in form with stippled sides and drainage through the base. NB condition note. There is an old vertical crack in one wall but it doesn't go below the thick stone base so shouldn't threaten the long term stability of the trough. 18th/19th century.
