Italy has a long tradition of producing terracotta pots and Italian designs have been hugely influential in gardens around the world. We have for a number of years been stockists of Terrecotte San Rocco from Tuscany and thoroughly recommend their pots for English conditions. They are extremely durable and frost resistant being made from high quality Galestro clay and fired to over 1100°C in modern gas ovens. Handmade in moulds they have an attractive artisan quality with textured surfaces with makers' stamps and will slowly develop a weathered patination as lime present in the clay leaches out. We carry a large stock throughout the year and are also very happy to discuss customers individual requirements. A selection from the complete range is listed here.
