Antique Garden Furniture 

Our selection of garden furniture can include old iron framed benches, stone or composition stone benches and well weathered sets of wooden garden furniture. Among the iron benches might be antique wrought-iron seats such as the hoop back Regency benches and cast iron furniture might include examples of the famous naturalistic Coalbrookdale benches produced at the Ironbridge foundry in the 19th century. Stone benches can be either carved natural stone or made from cast composition stone and are often encrusted with moss and lichen which gives them great character. Old wooden garden furniture, especially if made from teak, can also develop an attractive weathered patination well suited to established gardens.

    A Victorian garden bench with cast iron end supports and wooden rails including an unusual footrest. This bench is in ex garden condition but generally sound with a relatively comfortable sitting position. The kite marks on the inside of the cast iron ends indicate that this design was first registered in 1857. 19th century
