A large rectangular sandstone trough from Shropshire with thick walls and base and lots of mossy character. There is an original drainage hole on the front which has been blocked up at some stage in the past which could be re-opened to improve drainage. There are also a couple of naturally occurring stone seams running diagonally through the sandstone which can be seen in the photographs. This trough is large enough to be planted with shrubs or wall climbing plants such as roses.
This is a very heavy trough but we can advise on delivery anywhere in the mainland UK.
18th/19th century.
