An antique copper planter from a country house in Warwickshire with numerous old riveted repairs. Copper vessels like this were originally built into wood fired ovens and used to heat household water. They were important domestic assets and it is not unusual to find them with old repairs. The extensive repairs and dark verdigris look of this copper give it character and authenticity. They make great garden planters with the added bonus that they repel slugs.
