Antique 'Mexican Hat' Planter

An antique cast iron round planter with raised wrought iron partitions meeting at a central round hub. Originally a pig feeder it now has drainage holes through the base and makes an interesting garden planter. Often called a 'Mexican Hat', this is a particularly good example which is larger than usual.

19th or early 20th Century.
