There is a trade label on one end reading 'Nova Garden Furniture'. The surface patination is a mixture of typical silvery grey with a reddish coloured stain, presumably a timber preservative. 20th Century.

This bench is in ex garden condition but generally sound with a relatively comfortable sitting position. The kite marks on the inside of the cast iron ends indicate that this design was first registered in 1857. 19th century
