An antique cider mill from Ruardean, Gloucestershire, made in two semi-circular halves and with its original roller stone. This is an excellent example of the type of cider mill originally present on many farms in the South West Midlands where cider making was once an important part of the farming year. It is made from Monmouthshire gritstone which is an extremely hard stone and also has the benefit of good internal depth for planting.
18th/19th century.
