Antique Armorial Stone

An antique armorial stone from County Durham, carved from sandstone as a gable end stone with a recess in the top. The armorial motif is indistinct due to long term weathering but this stone might well have once been part of a medieval building. it makes an interesting and enigmatic garden feature.
