Antique Coalbrookdale Medallion Bench

An antique cast iron garden bench, the back intricately cast with birds in foliage with a central medallion depicting a seated girl holding a bird. This is an original example of the Coalbrookdale Foundry's Medallion bench which has recently been cleaned, repainted and the seat retimbered with ash rails.

Unfortunately this bench has suffered extensive damage at some point in the past and there are numerous losses to the back. However it remains an impressive and interesting original bench with finely cast details.
