Long Limestone Garden Seat

A large carved limestone garden seat, the back carved with scrolling foliage with crouching lion arm rests, raised on three carved foliate supports. Originally carved in the area around Vicenza in Northern Italy, this bench has been in a private garden in Surrey for a number of years and has begun to develop a weathered patination. At over 11 feet this is an impressive seat which is unusually long and would suit a formal garden setting.
