A large water trough carved from a fine grained sandstone with a bowed front and straight back. Originally from a Shropshire water mill, this trough had sheared off into two parts at the base but has been repaired and holds water again. It is an ideal size and shape to be reused as a basin for a wall fountain. 

18th/19th Century.
