Vintage Portland Stone Birdbath

A vintage carved portland stone birdbath in five parts, the round basin on a cruciform support on a square base with round water pockets in each corner. This unusual birdbath design was probably carved in a Dorset stonemason's yard in the first half of the 20th century. Because it is made in several parts it will benefit from being bedded together once in position with a weak mortar mix.
