Antique Sandstone Birdbath

An antique sandstone birdbath from Cheshire, the rusticated octagonal bath on a matching sectional column and stepped base. This relatively large birdbath is reasonably stable but would benefit from the several component parts being mortared together once in position. At some point in the past the inside of the bath has been relined with mortar, probably to make it more waterproof, and it continues to hold a good amount of water despite several cracks around the edge.
