Antique Stone Finial

An antique portland stone finial carved as a basket filled with fruit and flowers. This finial is larger than most of it's type and reputedly originally came from a large house in Leckhampton, Cheltenham where it was discarded during extensive building works. It makes an attractive and genuinely old decorative garden feature.  

18th century or earlier.
