Antique Cast Iron Trough

A large circular trough made from cast iron with three rings equally spaced around the rim. Originally for use on a farm, large farm animals such as heavy horses and oxen would have been tethered to the rings. It currently holds water but can easily be drilled for drainage and used as a planter.

NB. There are a couple of long standing large chips to the rim.
