Pair of Weathered Stone Planters

A pair of weathered composition stone round planters decorated with a continuous hoop and swag pattern. These unusual planters were apparently made by Empire Stone of Narborough, Leicestershire, a company which operated throughout most of the 20th Century producing mainly precast building products but also a little known range of garden ornaments. These planters are at least 50 years old with a well established patination of moss and lichen.
