Antique Limestone Font

An unusual antique limestone font carved from a single block of stone, the octagonal bowl relief carved with a shield motif and raised on an integral octagonal column. Although relatively small for a font, this genuine old ornament has plenty of presence and would make an excellent focal point especially in a garden with religious associations, such as an old vicarage. The bowl formerly held water but now has a drainage hole through the column allowing it to be planted if required.
