Vintage Copper Planter

A vintage copper planter with a weathered patination. It has a maker's stamp on one side reading Peerless co, 51 Sherbourne Road, Balsall Heath, Birmingham. Peerless were makers of musical instruments in the early 20th century and this was probably originally a military drum. It makes an unusual and capacious garden planter.
