Antique Terracotta Planter on Base

An antique buff terracotta round planter on an associated round sandstone base, the planter bulbous shaped with stiff leaf decoration and an egg and dart rim. This unusual planter is relatively large and makes an original and distinctive garden feature. Although there is no obvious maker's stamp, the colour and texture of the terracotta is similar to the ornaments produced in the late Victorian/ Edwardian era by Doulton and other similar makers.

The diameter is taken at the top of the planter and the height includes the stone base.
