Weathered Japanese Granite Lantern

A weathered Japanese lantern carved from granite in five parts, the scrolled top on a hexagonal lantern section on a round column. The column is inscribed 'NYK LINE 1963' which probably refers to the Japanese Shipping company, Nippon Yusen Kaisha, especially since it was formerly in a garden in the Wirral, not far from Liverpool Docks. This is a tall feature would be an ideal centrepiece in a Japanese themed garden.
