Antique Sandstone Staddlestones

Two similar antique sandstone staddlestones from Whittington, Worcestershire, the round tops supported on large tapered bases. Although not identical these staddlestones are very alike and share the same provenance so make a good pair. Carved from the red sandstone typical of North Worcestershire they have developed an especially good patination of moss.
