Antique Sandstone Staddlestone

An antique sandstone staddlestone from West Shropshire, the well weathered round top raised on a separate tapered base. This is an unusually tall staddlestone which spreads out to a substantial rough hewn base which was originally intended to be partly buried to improve the stability of the rick. It makes a good pair with item number 2680.
