Weathered bronze Statue of a Boy Fishing

A weathered bronze statue of a boy dressed in Italianate period style landing a fish by his left foot and now raised on a rock-work base. This is a good quality bronze statue with an attractive blue/green patination and with it's fishing theme is especially suitable to go by water. The subject has been reproduced in the Far East in recent years but the good quality of the casting and the presence of foundry marks, albeit indistinct, suggest it may have been made in Italy.
