An antique marble statue of a boy with his hands clasped in front of him, on an associated Jerusalem marble plinth. Although there are some minor losses, to the tips of the fingers for example, and some loss of detail due to weathering, for example to the feet, the good quality of this statue is still apparent especially around the head and face. Presenting the statue on the substantial plinth means that it is more or less at eye level so that the carved detail can be appreciated and the combination is also large enough to be a focal point in a garden.
19th Century.
63" high overall (statue 39" high, plinth 22" x 22" x 24" high).
