Weathered Garden Statue

A weathered garden statue of a young man in period dress deep in thought with his chin in his hand. This is an example of Chilstone's 'French Figure' which has been outdoors in a Shropshire garden for many years. Normally moss and lichen is very welcome on garden statuary because it makes it look old and interesting but this is a rare case where removing some of the moss around the statue's face might benefit its appearance. However, we have left that decision to the next owner.
