An antique stone jardiniere consisting of a large octagonal top hollowed out in the centre now raised on an associated square sandstone base carved with a column of flowers on one side. The top is carved with the repeating monogram 'GR' under a crown which is presumably a reference to one of the Georgian kings. The octagonal top may have once been part of a large stone chimney but its original provenance is not known beyond being in a private Surrey garden near Chobham for many years.
18th/19th century.
