An old rectangular stone trough from West Gloucestershire with very good planting depth for its size. It was originally a drinking trough for pigs and there are two notches in the sides to locate water pipes. Drainage holes have since been drilled through the base but otherwise it is in sound condition with good colouration.
NB. There are mason's marks cut into one end wall including the initials 'IA'.
19th century.
21" x 18" x 11" high.
