Antique Limestone Trough

An antique limestone trough from Broadway, Worcestershire, with the rectangular shape and rounded front typical of the old stone troughs which originally stood next to outdoor well pumps and were used for a variety of washing and cleaning jobs. This example is a good size and depth for planting and has an attractive weathered patination.
