Large Antique Stone Trough

A large antique stone trough from Yorkshire of rectangular form with an original drainage hole in one corner, now raised on two stone blocks. Rough hewn from a buff coloured sandstone this is a structurally sound trough with good internal planting depth (13"). It was probably originally a horse trough for watering draught horses and other large farm animals.

18th/19th century.
