Antique Bow Fronted Stone Trough

An antique bow fronted stone trough from near Wotton under Edge, Gloucestershire, with finely worked curved walls and a well established weathered patination. This unusually deep stone trough is in sound condition for its age and would make an excellent water trough if the drainage holes through the base were resealed. It is a heavy item requiring specialised transport but we are happy to advise on the practicalities of delivery. It is truly astonishing to think that this trough was carved from a single block of stone in an era before widespread mechanisation.
