An unusual antique stone trough from North Yorkshire, rectangular in shape and divided in two parts with an internal partition wall. One side of this trough has a sloping base and it no doubt was made for a specific use, possibly for washing clothes with the slope for squeezing out moisture. 

18th or 19th century.
