Large Sandstone Trough on Blocks
1 Item

A large sandstone trough from Staffordshire, rectangular in shape and raised on two salvaged sandstone blocks. Unusually, it is carved into two separate square basins and was probably originally a feeding trough for large farm animals such as working horses or oxen. Now with drainage holes drilled through the base of each trough it makes an unusual and characterful raised garden planter.

This is a heavy stone item which requires careful planning before delivery which we are happy to advise on.

The height given includes the stone blocks.

18th/19th century.
