Antique Round Sandstone Trough

An antique sandstone trough from North Worcestershire, shaped as a miniature round cider mill with a raised round centre. This type of trough was originally for feeding pigs which were a key element of the self-sufficient rural economy pre-industrialisation. 

There is a drainage hole through the base which could be blocked up to turn this into a water trough if required.
