Large Herefordshire Stone Trough

A large sandstone trough with a straight back and bowed front with an original drainage hole through the middle of the front. Formerly on a farm in Llangarron, West Herefordshire, this was originally a water trough for farm animals and it looks like it will continue to hold water if the drainage hole is stopped up. Stone troughs with this kind of scale in good condition are increasingly difficult to find.
