Large Antique Stone Trough

A large antique sandstone trough from Shropshire, rectangular in form with hand chiselled sides and well established moss and lichen. This trough does not hold water properly because of natural laminations in the stone which allow water to seep through, especially in one back corner. It now has two drainage holes drilled through the base and makes a great planter which is suitable for a wide range of shrubs and flowers including potentially wall climbers.

This is a large and heavy stone item but we are happy to advise on the practical aspects of delivery.

18th/ 19th century.
