Large Antique Stone Trough

A large antique Sandstone trough from Shropshire. 

Rectangular in form with hand chiselled sides and with a well established covering of moss and lichen. This trough does not hold water properly because of some natural laminations in the stone, especially in a back corner which allows water to seep through. 

It does however make a great planter, and is suitable for a wide range of shrubs and flowers including potentially wall climbers.
