A Large Antique Sundial

A large antique sundial, the octagonal bronze plate supported on a carved limestone baluster column. This sundial is an elegant shape and tall enough to be a focal point even in a large garden. It is relatively unweathered, probably because is has been stored inside for a while, but it will rapidly develop a weathered patination if placed outside and exposed to the elements. 

19th or early 20th century.
