Antique Stiff & Co Terracotta Urn

An antique terracotta garden urn on square laurel wreath plinth, the urn bowl crisply moulded with upright foliage (a design sometimes called 'Cabbage Leaf'). There is an oval maker's stamp on the side reading 'J Stiff and Sons Lambeth' for the pottery established by James Stiff in 1843 and run by the Stiff family until 1913 when it was sold to Royal Doulton.
